Simon is giving the art of saying the same thing, a thousand different ways new meaning. Simon Barrett’s latest idiom laced post on Blogger News Network spiked my interest. But, even receiving several obscene telephone calls failed to liven up the show. The callers’ wiener jokes might have made Jan Barrett giggle in the background, but they did nothing to carry his show through yet another rehash of clearly dead material.

William Shakespeare might have been able to get away with playing metaphor upon metaphor to his audience, but Simon’s persistent abuse of the English language in order to try to hide the fact that he has not written anything remotely news worthy in several months is wearing his steadily dwindling audience mighty thin.

William Shakespeare spent most of his life trying to figure out how to spell his last name. William liked to experiment with different spellings much like how Simon is desperately trying to blame others for his sagging ratings with old tired colloquial metaphors masquerading as new news on Blogger News Network throughout most of the second half of 2009.

One of the highlights of the show was that since it was announced by Simon that Cobra had officially bailed on the Haleigh Cummings show, Denny Griffin actually started to say something. This at least resulted in even sound volume through most of the show.

Denny went through a list of possible motives for Haleigh’s disappearance.

Cousin Joe was once again brought up. Yes, there are a thousand possible scenarios in Haleigh’s disappearance, with Cousin Joe being one of them. The problem is that Joe in Tennessee was cleared by LE during the first few days of their investigation.

Tj Hart was so desperate for new material that he started blabbering about Joe having fed Haleigh to Florida’s alligators.

Personally, I would like to see more of a time-line for both Cousin Joe’s and Misty’s brother Tommy’s activities from several days before right through the night that Haleigh disappeared. Everyone in Misty Croslin’s family has been up to no good as far as I am concerned. Both of these two slime bags were reported to have been on Ronald Cummings property the day that Haleigh disappeared.

The panel actually started to blame LE, especially during the first 72 hours. Simon repeated his 72 hours comments several times. Plus they started questioning why no arrests have been made. Tj Hart played the better to win the war and lose the battle card. Really, Tj? At this point, I would say that LE has clearly lost both the War and the Battle. Bust Misty Croslin now for either obstruction or child endangerment and the first thing that the Judge is going to do is question exactly how compelling the evidence is if they have waited 11 months so far without an arrest. What exactly has changed, the Judge might ask? Will LE be brave enough to quote Simon Barrett’s latest rant?

I am sorry for this waste of bandwidth on what is happening with Haleigh Cummings. Simon tricked me into wasting another 90 minutes listening to yet more of his drivel, so I needed to recoup my investment of time. Haleigh Cummings is gone for good. Misty Croslin is smack dab in the middle of Haleigh’s disappearance, anyway you look at it. The only thing that really has happened is that Haleigh Cummings has been dropped from the list of active Amber Alerts. LE has failed consistently to act. Haleigh Cummings’ case is deader than dead, and that is how the year 2009 is going to officially end.
