Mark NeJame, Cindy and George Anthony’s former attorney, told the Orlando Sentinel on Friday that he and Texas EquuSearch will be helping in the search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings. A press conference with EquuSearch founder Tim Miller has been scheduled for Monday.

Mark NeJame resigned as Cindy and George Anthony’s attorney in November 2008 because they refused to follow his advice. Since then Mark represented Tim Miller and Texas EquuSearch in court (starting at 1:25 of the above video) at the end of January 2009 when Jose Baez tried to gain access to personal information about 4000 Texas Equisearch volunteers who helped look for Caylee Anthony’s body.

The criminal defense attorney is a philanthropist, from Orlando, Florida, who gave the meter reader Roy Kronk who found Caylee Anthony’s remains a $5,000 reward in January 2009. NeJame had previously received the $5,000 to help find Caylee while working the case from anonymous donors. The Orlando lawyer was impressed by Kronk’s initiative. In addition, Mark is the founder and senior partner of his own law firm.

Despite a bunch of misinformation being given out by a popular Blog Talk Radio show, Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch came to Florida, in February, at the request of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office to help search for missing Haleigh Cummings. But back on February 16th, 2009, Texas EquuSearch suddenly announced that their massive search effort for Haleigh Cummings has been suspended without much of an explanation. This has lead to a lot of speculation as to why Tim Miller pulled out so fast.

While we wont know for sure until Monday’s scheduled press conference takes place, the philanthropist Mark NeJame is presumably funding a search for Haleigh’s remains that will be conducted by Tim Miller and his Texas EquuSearch non-profit organization. This should finally dispel the misinformation being circulated by some sources that Tim Miller was told to leave Putnam County by LE.
