A memorial vigil for Caylee Anthony took place at Jay Blanchard Park in Orlando, Florida yesterday evening. It was organized by Scotti Simpson, the founder of a Facebook group honoring the angelic Caylee.
Remembering Caylee & Other Missed Children
The memorial vigil marked the one year anniversary of Caylee’s tragic death. In case you were not able to attend the service, you can honor Caylee by watching the entire memorial on video.

I was saddened that not many people came to the vigil, but I am glad that they had it. A lot of people who could not be there were having vigils on the web along side of Rev. Grund. Interesting story: When Rev. Grund released the butterflies, they all took of except one. It would not leave and instead kept flying back to the memorial flowers that were brought for Caylee. Rev. Grund at the end of ceremonies, recaptured the butterfly to take it home.

Yeah, I did notice how sparse it was. 😦
But, thanks to these videos the numbers attending will keep on growing. I, also, found it rather interesting that the CayleeDaily blog was local to the memorial and accounted for many of the attendees.
It was nice being able to see most of it without having to travel. The Vigil was mostly a local event, without a lot of national press coverage.
Best part, I do not recall Casey being mentioned!!!

I am on the ID Discovery Caylee blog and we had our representative who lived in the area attend and brought a large card with our names on it. We individually contributed to the services also. There were many from the blog that participated that day too on our site. We had a light a candle for Caylee thread that received many visits from all over the US and almost a dozen other countries. I watched the service from the videotapes on YouTube. Reverand Grund did a beautiful service.
It was also interesting to note that the grandparents chose instead to go on one of their media blitzes instead of attending or perhaps commemorate it by looking for that missing woman about 30 miles north of where the Anthony’s live. Texas Equisearch was there. I wonder where George’s Caylee boat was docked?

I attended the vigil to represent all the beautiful people who fell in love with Caylee Marie from the forum Investigation Discovery, I witnessed myself how much Richard Grund loved this child, when he read the letter from Jesse it took my breathe away, the butterflys were released and yes one one of them flys straight to the flowers and refused to leave, several of us stood there and watched, Richard Grund decided to take this butterfly home with him, in my heart I believe this butterfly was a sign from Caylee that she was there in spirit and I think Richard might have felt the same. You can hear my voice in the video’s while watching this butterfly not wanting to leave. This memorial might have only had about 30 people but it was for Caylee and only Caylee not like the over the top memorial Cindy had for Cindy only. Denise from Kissimmee……God Bless the Grund family and little Caylee Marie RIP
