Yesterday, Nancy Grace’s bombshell barely got a yawn out of me, as it was several days old. However, Leonard Padilla dropped a real bombshell when he causally reported that Misty Croslin had seen Cousin Joe from Tennessee in the doorway with Haleigh on the night that she had disappeared.
As you may recall Joe Overstreet, Misty’s cousin from Tennessee, was the person of interest from the very start of the investigation into Haleigh’s disappearance. Misty Croslin accused Joe Overstreet as being the most likely suspect, right from the start. And, didn’t she once call him crazy and even accused him on national TV of being a criminal all his life?

Recall how Misty Croslin had raised some eyebrows when she revealed under hypnosis that she had remembered a dream like state that involved 4 shadowy people the very night that Haleigh had vanished. According to Leonard Padilla on Nancy Grace last night Timmy’s wife in Massachusetts told him that Misty had revealed to her that Cousin Joe was one of these shadowy figures.
Tj Hart, news director of WSKY FM 97.3 in Gainsville, Florida is alleged to have reported that:
“Joe Overstreet had used a brick to prop open the door during previous break-ins.”
Further, just prior to Haleigh’s disappearance Cousin Joe supposedly had a fight with Ronald Cummings over a stolen gun. That gun turned up in a ditch. Joe was rumored to have threatened revenge after the fight was over.
Art Harris has reported that Joe Overstreet had borrowed the blue van from Misty’s sister-in-law the night that Haleigh went messing, had moved the car keys, and allegedly returned it with a scratch on the side.
Further, Joe immediately leaving Florida to return to Tennessee after Haleigh disappeared was very suspicious.
Everything fits with the theory that Joe Overstreet had taken off with Haleigh that night, except for the fact that LE had cleared him of all involvement almost from day one. Of course, if the police were too quick to have cleared Cousin Joe, that would answer a lot of questions. Then again, Misty Croslin, also could have concocted the whole episode. She obviously could have easily propped open the back screen door, herself, with a cinder block in order to frame her Cousin from Tennessee for the crime.

Art Harris has since reported a denial that was allegedly made by Chelsea .
“What I heard was that Joe was standing over her in the bedroom,” Chelsea went on, “and that she woke up and got scared.”

The day Haleigh turned up missing, Chelsea tells me Joe was putting up Haleigh posters, then split for Tennessee.
I would call this development a big so what. I still find this theory very believable. Imagine a family relative denying what they had previously said when put on the line. Try telling me something that I do NOT already know. Everyone of them is a liar in my book.
Chances are that whatever happen to Haleigh Cummings that night, she was transported in the blue van. Somebody had to have drove that van that night. Could easily have been Cousin Joe. All that is required for this theory to be true is for LE to have bungled the case from day one by not making the cousin a person of interest, which is something that is extremely believable. LE bungles crime investigations beyond repair all the time.
Cousin Joe immediately splitting for Tennessee is still a fact and is still highly suspicious. Furthermore, Misty Croslin is in jail because of a drug bust that has absolutely nothing to do with Haleigh’s disappearance. So, to casually toss off the Cousin Joe theory because Misty is in jail while cousin Joe is not; is absolutely ludicrous.

Nancy Grace’s on-air conviction against Misty continues to fall apart. This collapse of Nancy’s allegations may put Nancy back into her rehab once again like when she was wrong on those other cases and subsequently put herself back into rehab according to that one cite that has a video clip.

Of course, if LE had arrested Cousin Joe, the creepy looking character, back in February 2009 they might have been able to recover Haleigh’s remains. But, then NG wouldn’t have had nothing to complain about for the last year.

Cousin Joe likes to use bricks to prop open doors while he steals things,what oh no did they overlook the obvious now how does Misty know all this and Ronald uses the phrase Stolen when talkin about Haleigh.
When did he use the van that night,Remember Misty was washing the blanket late and had put Haleigh to bed and then Misty waited for it to dry so she could cover Haleigh up but wait a second they were all sleeping in the same bed that Law Enforcement stated was all made up and know one slept in it.
Now Ronald told the biggest lie of them all when he stated he never opened the back door as long as he lived there and he was positive it was locked before he went to work, The wash machine and dryer sit next to that back door and its obvious they keep it open when they do clothes.
Now this is the number one Question did Law Enforcement check the back yard area for cigs the way they all smoke there should be hundreds around the yard and this would put a nail in Ronald and Misty statements about the back door and yard.Plus they would be able to look at the door and tell the recent dents from the door being propped open.
Now Ronald punches the door big bad ass and threathens people but why did he not run outside and call Haleighs name when he got home and run to the neibors house looking for Haleigh instead of saying she was stolen, Ronald and his mom are both Oxycontin or oxycodone users they both admitted this and a small circle of people like themselves have already figured out what to say and stick to there story,Find a way to keep Padilla out of the way and when the money dries up and Misty has a hard time talking with her parents and she sits there wondering what is being said and does not have a clue then she will start cracking up and start talking,Keep Padilla away and the truth will surface.
Padilla has been causing alot of damage both parents go around looking to steal and commit crimes and Padilla rewards them and provides Misty with Money and Talk time,I wish Law Enforcement could keep him away and this case would come to a closure.

If LE doesn`t investigate any possibility that is thrown their way, then they have screwed up. Could Cousin Joe be the “man in black” that JR saw that night? Can Chelsey and Timmy put him in that van that night? Did they take his clothing that he supposely slept in to test for forensics? Its been over a year and no sign of Haleigh, so any and everyone should be looked at again! Maybe by a fresh sight of eyes. Padilla might need to offer all the players a “get out of jail free card”, not just Misty. He needs to take off the “Public Assistance Padilla” hat to the Croslins. Show Misty the real discomforts of jail, and then she might give the LE what it needs to convict the person responsible for Haleigh`s disappearance.

Good evening. Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the FBI come in and work this case? It’s not just the police that can’t get anywhere with this. I know this will sound crazy but….Misty’s father hates Ron so I wonder if he has anything to do with this. Maybe even Misty needed someone to take care of little Haleigh’s body. The dogs pointed out the trash bin but it seems that went no where.

Art Harris said at his site that LE did take the van and test it for any signs of foul play as soon as the “Cousin Joe” theory was first brought up. This is just more muddying-of-the-water, by these idiots. They really seem to think the drug charges will just magically disappear if Haleigh is found.
John, have you ever looked at Ronald’s arrest record before Haleigh went missing? Someone on another thread noted that he has an bunch of drug arrest, but he was never brought to trial for anything. It was odd. If cops were using this idiot as an informant…. stupid.

Simon Barett is basically accusing Crystals family of hiring Art Harris, and for what, yo point the finger at cousin joe, what does TJ Hart and Simon Barrett have against the mother of a missing child they cant stop pointing the finger at her? Also does anyone know if its true that TJ Hart was saying Crystal was hitting on him, he sounds like a scorned lover. Does Simon and TJ hate Art so much and the Sheffields they are making up these stupid mistruths, I mean how can anyone find the logic that the Sheffields are now paying Art to point the hand at Cousin Joe, after all the crap that has come out about Ron and Misty, why do these two clowns insist on pointing the finger of the mother of a missing child, are they that stupid?

That particular BNN post rubbed me the wrong way.
They have a very aloof attitude that needs a major adjustment, IMHO. The BNN boys are doing their best to re-insert himself into the Haleigh case whey they are TOTALLY irrelevant. Dumping on Art Harris and still bringing up their Nay Nay letter debacle, at every opportunity, is more than a bit ludicrous.
If Misty did NOT do it, then Cousin Joe at this point is the most likely person of interest. And, should have been so from day one.
Another major LE screw-up was their failure to impound the blue van immediately as a major piece of crime scene evidence. The most likely vehicle used to get rid of Haleigh would have been that blue van. Have LE returned Casey Anthony’s car after their search of the vehicle was completed?

Why not investigate Crystal and the Sheffield family? For all the slandering being done to the Croslin and Cummings families, why should the Sheffields be exempt? Where did the money go that was donated to the Haleighbug foundation? The Sheffields have slung accusations since day one, and I believe they have motive too. With Haleigh`s disappearance, JR`s custody will be up for grabs. With the Croslin–Cummings Circus, then the focus has definately not been on the Sheffields at all. I wonder what they could be up to during all this time–maybe visiting a missing child they have hidden. Some custody disputes end with the noncustodial parent hiding a child. That`s just food for thought!

The Sheffields have been looked at, yet HaLEighs Dad and step mom, the two people who were in charge of HaLeigh, are being held on such high bail. LE has targeted them, and it isnt just for pills, it because of HaLeigh, anyone with a working brain cell should know their bail is too high for their crimes, logic tells you they are being held for other reason.
The point is Tj Hart and Simon Barrett are ridiculous. Crystal just isnt a suspect and it chaps a few arseholes for some reason, especially TJ and Simon. They are so off base and wrong, if anyone is being bought in this story its them by Ronalds family. Despicable journalism.

This could have started as a simple abduction to protect a child from an “abusive” pill popping father. Haleigh being “gone” would open up the door for Jr.s custody as well. Killing two birds with one stone. Has Crystal or her parents taken a lie detector test? While Joe is a viable suspect so are the Sheffields.

Anything is possible at this point. I just do NOT think that it is more plausible than the theory that somebody in the Croslin family did it. Also, I think that it is far more likely that a NON-birth parent would have done in Haleigh, unless the parents were prone to physical violence.

I think you are right Mr. Gohde. There are so many possibilities that its mind boggling. I think LE is suffering from extreme tunnel vision, that they are not open to any other reasonable explanations. As far as the blue van, I think you are right. This van could make or break the case. But that evidence will be lost forever.

And, why would Simon even bring the subject up? Listening to Tj for any period of time gives me a headache. Hart could talk for an hour and say virtually nothing. Whats funny is he QUIT Nancys show because a producer asked him to embellish something and he did not want to cause drama, is that not hilarious? Now she wont have him on anymore and hes too busy with Simon fighting and crying about Art Harris. Basically PCSO emailed a few news organizations pictures of the HaLeigh room, well TJ posted it first, made it sound like he was there taking the pictures, touted it as an exclusive, like he really thought the PCSO sent him and only him these pictures, and when Art posted it, some of his minions went crying in the comments, and Art smacked TJ down pretty good.

I would like your opinion on Timothy Holmseth and writeintoaction.com. I have heard his name and watched some of his videos on youtube. Is he just another hanger on just to make a name for himself or could he be on to something here? I share his theory but for different reasons. I would just like your opinion and what he hopes to gain from this since there has been a lull in information about this case.

How do you think Art Harris manages to pay his rent? In today’s economy, $5,000 is absolutely nothing. If Cobra paid Art $5,000 to make that ill fated video of Cobra and Snodgrass, then Cobra is even dumber than I had thought. And, I say: More power to Art Harris.
I have a News Flash: Journalists of all sorts … are in it for the money. And, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It is called reality.
Okay, Art is making money anywhere he can find it. So, what? Journalists have to eat and pay rent too. I wouldn’t doubt it at all that HLN is paying Art one way or the other for being on NG, so often.
The BNN boys are making money off of Blog Talk Radio and Blogger News Network because they are displaying advertisements on BNN. How much money they are collecting off of interest in Haleigh is just as obviously unknown. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if the figure was somewhere between $100 a month, and $100 a week. Of course, that $100 figure could actually be closer to $1,000. All their traffic volume is coming from their coverage of Haleigh and Caylee.
As far as Cobra goes: It is the Video Stupid!!! Also, my mother taught me a long time ago: Never to bite the hand that feeds you. Cobra has videos of himself playing with his toys (such as a hand held machine gun) on YouTube. If he had money to burn on his toys, then he has money to hire the best of attorneys to get himself out of this pickle. Something else is going on that we do NOT know about for it to have taken this long. What? I say, look, at the VIDEO. Not only was Cobra dumb enough to record himself breaking the law, he actually did it in front of PCSO.

Why isn`t Crystal on every network news broadcast DEMANDING JUSTICE for her missing daughter? Why isn`t she speaking on behalf of Haleigh who has been missing for over a year? Her silence speaks volumes to me. Her lack of effort and concern is baffling. How do you go on without making a concerted effort to seek answers and the whereabouts of your missing 6 year old child? Please tell me how any concerned parent can do that!

Robin, I think Crystal is lazy. Also, she may be insecure around “worldly” people. Obviously her lawyer Kim Picasio (?) forced her to appear the few times she did. Nancy Grace probably intimidated her and now she’s scared. I like Nancy G. but she can be a bit “harsh”.

Sorry making three comments in a row, but this case frustrates me and the lack of media response by Crystal, Haleigh`s mother, has me suspicious. Or could it be that they follow the Anthony debacle with “Mommy knows best” and Marie controlling the whole interview. For once, I would like Crystal to speak for herself without Mother Marie`s influence. This would go along way for me and my suspicions on this family. It is Crystal`s responsibilty–and hers alone–to keep Haleigh`s case in the spotlight. She would be Haleigh`s “voice”. I just don`t understand why I don`t hear or see something from Crystal!

Scratch what I criticized about his website. My computer monitor is in the process of dying. The color red is literally invisible on my computer screen (from time to time at least). A whole bunch of his site was invisible when I had first looked at it. It was my computer, NOT his, that was all weird.
I need to give his site some time before I take a second look at it.

I guess I just don`t want to grasp the fact that Haleigh is most likely deceased. Maybe that`s why I have hung on to the Sheffield theory for so long. But Ron and Misty being the culprits? Misty had known Ron for 5 months, what would motivate her to help conceal or commit murder? Or Ron for that matter? He has many faults, but I cannot comprehend him killing his child, not even an accident. I guess we will know the “truth” when Misty`s letter becomes public, and the “two” people she has to hurt is known.

All Ron Cummings behavior is understandable if he has a personality disorder.
May make him a not so good person but does not make him a killer. Could it be that Ron cares about Ron? He married Misty to avoid jail and somehow thought it would help him keep Junior? Could it be that Ron thinks about Ron?
I notice his main complaint from Jail when he says he is going to take out people is that he is going to get the person who “took his daughter from him”
so, could it be that this is just about him and everyone else comes in way second or not at all? Except for what they give to him and how they make him feel? He talks about his loss not about his child and what she may have lost. As a matter of fact it does not seem to make a difference to him if “someone took her because they lost a child” or for other reasons. I mean they took HER from HIM and that is it. I think we may just find that Ron is just being Ron. As far as folks being scared of this Joe, I think they are scared of Jail and of what Ron will do if he learns they had some part in this. JMO I can’t see how he could be involved unless it was over the phone.

I am bothered by Crystal`s silence because of the existence of the Haleighbug Foundation. Wasn`t it founded to help coordinate searches for her missing daughter and to glean information from the public about what might have happened? Its very existence and her lack of response and coordination of NO searches leaves me suspicious of her motives in the first place. The only way she could lose custody of Jr at this point (with Ron`s long prison stint looming) is if she cant stay sober and lucid enough to raise her children IMO. Time will tell on that point!

Misty is in LOVE with Ronald, she has his name on her, they share a secret, I am sure they have talked about what they would do when THAT day finally happened and they were both taken into custody. I am positive Ron is smiling in his second mug shot because he was relived he wasn’t being with charged with what he thought he would be when it all went down like that.
